At Innovative Designs for Healthcare:
We started thinking of how to improve hospitals.
WHAT IF, we could:
Reduce hospital acquired infection
Reduce hospital acquired infection
Improve hospital work-flow
Provide better security for newborn babies
Introducing the Smart – Link Solution to Improve ICU Work Flow and Reduce Infection.

Introducing the Smart – Link Solution to Improve ICU Work Flow and Reduce Infection.
The nurse can see the patient at all times while adjusting the equipment and connecting hoses and cables.
By developing a link between the two ceiling utility pendants, and connecting the bed directly to one of the pendants, we allow for all cables and hoses to be lifted off the floor.

The nurses can keep track of all cables and hoses much easier because the equipment is mounted directly onto the bed, thus the nurse sees the patient and the technology at the same time.
For cleaning, emergency procedures, or transporting to another area, no patient connections are disturbed. Just disconnect the Smart-Link, unplug the power and medical gas hoses, and transport is ready.

The Smart-Link allows for Rapid Transfer of a Patient, with Continuous View of all the Patient’s Vitals at the bed, AND AT THE NURSES STATION without RF Wi-Fi!
It can be very time consuming and difficult to move an ICU patient, and often takes a team of four people.
Plus, during transport, the vital signs data from the patient isn’t being sent to the Central Nurses Station.
This can be a problem if the patient has a code and the nursing team needs help, because their location won’t be known by others.

What about Neonatal ICU’s?
Introducing the BabySafe Neonatal Care Unit. With the most advanced infant security system available, and the world’s first non-contact temperature monitoring incubator.

The BabySafe Neonatal Care Unit
The BabySafe NICU uses the latest in Infrared Camera technology to provide core and surface temperature of the baby without electrodes. This reduces the risk of infection and improves temperature control.
Our Li-Fi communications technology and infrared detectors allows for identity confirmation of anyone who comes within 1 meter of the infant. Only authorized staff or family members can reach the infant without an alarm or verbal notification. Photos of all authorized staff and family members are installed in the NICU’s monitoring system.
DIGITAL INFORMATION NURSING ASSISTANT
AUTOMATICALLY CALCULATES PATIENT SEVERITY SCORES, AND PROVIDES NURSING PROMPTS FOR BEST PRACTICES

DINA – AI PROVIDES EARLY WARNING INDICATIONS FOR PATIENTS WITH
SEPSIS
As the patient’s health status changes, DINA-AI automatically calculates the new score and displays the warning alert in a colour-coded scheme to provide early warning of potential health threats.
DINA-AI can also monitor Hand Hygiene.
